Rawiri Blundell  is currently the manager for population health at Tu Ora Compass Health PHO covering Wairarapa, Kapiti, Porirua, and Wellington. Rawiri recently returned to the region after 25 years living and working in Waikato. His career spans 25 years within the health sector across various priority health areas to achieve and contribute to health equity.

Rawiri has always taken a pro-equity approach in building and working with primary care and iwi to ensure prevention capability across secondary and primary care. He has a community research background, has worked in Waikato District Health Board and primary care organisations and was a former regional Māori Health Manager for Pinnacle Midland Health Network covering Waikato, Te Tairawhiti, Taranaki, and Lakes.

Rawiri has worked for Midlands Cancer Network as the Regional Equity Manager which contributed to improvements in patient knowledge and early intervention of cancer prevention. He also has significant experience in diabetes prevention, cancer prevention and early intervention, Māori health workforce, whānau ora, and community research.
