The development group acknowledges that each data point reflects an individual or cluster of patients and that each diagnosis of cancer will have significantly affected the patient and their whānau. For this report, even though the data is from a period when district health boards were in existence (1 January 2017 to 31 December 2021), we use the new term ‘district(s)’ to refer to district health boards throughout the report.
