Hei Āhuru Mōwai completed its breast cancer position statement, opposed the Principles of the Treaty of Waitangi Bill and the Regulatory Standards Bill, and commissioned an independent PwC evaluation of the cancer care coordination programme across 20 Hauora Māori Partners, which returned eight recommendations. Professor Bev Lawton ONZM was named Kiwibank New Zealander of the Year for advocacy that made Aotearoa the first high-income country to use HPV self-testing as its primary cervical screening method.

It launched Pae Tukutuku and Toromiro for cancer care navigators, hosted the first National Cancer Care Navigator Hui-ā-Tau in Te Whanganui-a-Tara, and grew its operations team from two kaimahi to nine while planning the 2026 World Indigenous Cancer Conference.
