Leadership changed again in 2024. Cindy Dargaville left in July after fifteen months as Tumuaki; co-chair Gary Thompson took the role, and Professor Jacquie Kidd joined Dr Nina Scott as co-chair. Membership had grown from 45 to 136, it secured five times more funding, and Hei Āhuru Mōwai won the bid to host the 2026 World Indigenous Cancer Conference.

Over 100 members and Māori cancer experts attended the World Indigenous Cancer Conference in Australia, where three rangatahi cancer survivors spoke at the Youth Forum. Dr Maxine Ronald became the inaugural Breast Cancer Fellow, three wāhine Māori received Māori Cancer Researcher Awards, and the nightly accommodation rate under the National Travel Assistance Scheme rose from $100 to $140 in April.
