Funding available to support attendance at W.I.C.C 2026
Aotearoa, New Zealand delegates only.
We’re pleased to share that the Cancer Research Trust New Zealand has opened applications for grants to support participation in the World Indigenous Cancer Conference (W.I.C.C) 2026.
The Trust invests in research and professional development that strengthens cancer prevention, diagnosis, treatment and care. Their funding reaches across biomedical, clinical, public health, epidemiology and psychosocial research – all with the aim of improving outcomes and ensuring impact where it’s needed most.
As part of this kaupapa, the Professional Development Awards offer up to $3,000 for established cancer researchers and cancer care professionals. These awards help enable travel and participation in advanced training or scientific meetings that will grow capability and enhance the skills of those working to improve cancer outcomes in our communities.
Please note: retrospective funding is not available, so applications must relate to future activities only.
Applications close 10 March.
To support applicants, the Trust’s General Manager Michelle Sullivan will be hosting two online workshops focused on crafting strong, competitive grant applications. These practical sessions are open to anyone considering applying.
