Peta Forrest is a communications and engagement leader with more than 10 years’ experience helping organisations connect with their audiences. She has worked across not-for-profits, national sporting bodies, the public sector, and broadcast media, bringing a strategic approach and a passion for building strong relationships.

She played a pivotal role at Women in Sport Aotearoa, leading marketing and communications for the 8th IWG World Conference on Women & Sport, which achieved record participation and set new benchmarks for indigenous inclusion. She also launched the Insight Hub platforms, elevating research and advocacy for gender equity in sport.

Her tenure in the public sector saw Peta leading strategic and media communications for Kāinga Ora, one of Aotearoa’s largest social housing and urban development agencies. She managed high-profile projects such as flood recovery efforts in partnership with Auckland Council and community groups. She also delivered change communications for the organisation’s customer programme.

Peta is a passionate sports enthusiast. Whether she’s playing seven-a-side hockey, coaching club netball, cheering on friends and whānau from the sidelines, or tuning in to live games and broadcasts, sport is her happy place.
