Gail is Kaitaki Mana Whakahaere, Regional Māori Lead, Te Waipounamu, Hauora Māori Tūmatanui/Māori Public Health.

She has decades of experience working in public health with skills in emergency management, health promotion, recruitment and management. Her passion is working with Iwi, hapu, whanau and the wider community. She is also Deputy Chair Te Waipounamu Māori Cancer Leadership Group.

Gail has many years’ experience managing elite sports teams, including New Zealand Netball teams, Canterbury Flames, Southern Steel, and also the TallFerns New Zealand womens basketball team. She is currently managing the New Zealand Mens Netball team.
