Anne Douglas
Trustee

Anne is the newest Trustee appointed to Hei Āhuru Mōwai and feels privileged to be part of a group that works toward equitable access and outcomes for Māori, influencing changes that impact on cancer outcomes.

Anne is from Hamilton and has worked in the social service sector for over 30 years. She holds a Graduate Diploma in not-for-profit management. She brings a good understanding of grassroots-for-purpose organisations and serves as a trustee of Te Whare o Te Ata Fairfield Community House.

She is Finance Manager and Community Advisor for Community Waikato, working with community organisations, trusts, marae and Māori organisations in the Waikato to help strengthen their capabilities and build thriving communities.

When Hei Āhuru Mōwai registered as a Charitable Trust in 2020, Community Waikato supported the growth and development of the Trust. In her role, Anne worked closely with the inaugural CEO and Trustees of Hei Āhuru Mōwai to establish sound financial systems and operating practices.
