RACISM

Cancer inequities - caused by racism, inaction in the face of need and inequitable decisions can be found across the cancer continuum and the health system. Racism is intolerable and must be called out at every opportunity. To understand how racism works in cancer control check out our collaboration with Toby Morris which shows some of the drivers of inequitable cancer outcomes for Māori.

Call to action to support the Māori Health Authority

E te whānau,

Alongside Cancer Society and other health sector NGOs we fully support the establishment of the Māori Health Authority. This open letter below responds to comments by Christopher Luxon and David Seymour that they would scrap the Māori Health Authority.

We have sent this letter to both Christopher Luxon and David Seymour and have requested a hui to discuss our concerns.
